(it really works)
When I started this ministry, Strong Disciple in August of 2018, my great desire was to help you men in your faith, in your fathering, in your family and marriage, and in all aspects of your lives. I have had the privilege over the last several years to personally mentor some of you, and it brings me great joy to do so. One of the ways I do this is through individual phone conversations with you, praying with you at the end of each call, and also email conversations. Another vital way I do this, is to offer you specific “spiritual prescriptions” so to speak, based on your specific needs and situation. I send you the exact links to Biblical message podcasts that I have done over the years that are tailored to the unique challenges you are facing in your life. I give you specific action steps and plans that you can take in your situation, to help you experience real lasting change and progress in your life and faith, to encourage you, enrich you, instruct you and help you accomplish what God wants you to do.
I believe there is nothing more powerful than Truth: Understood and Applied!
In light of that, I wanted to share with you a real-life story sent to me this week from a young man whom I have been mentoring now for sometime. I believe his story will illustrate what is also possible for you.
I apologize for my delay in responding, …my desire to write you a full and detailed email often causes a bottleneck in how quickly I reply. And I feel like there is so much to tell, yet no way I could ever write it all down. So for now, I will have to settle for giving you just the tip of the iceberg by writing briefly that the messages you recommended have been more encouraging than words can express! THANK YOU! I can’t stop listening to them! They fit me so perfectly, feeding my faith and giving me perspective as I wait on God in the suffering and the sorrow. Daniel’s cooperation with Mr. Myagi’s refining program, Joseph’s faithfulness to God as God worked evil for good, Esther’s life of submission and not giving in to fear, but yielding her life to the unseen plans of God, Daniel’s unwavering commitment to yield and trust God’s plans for his life, refusing to compromise his faith or give in to the culture around him, choosing to honor God at his own risk before the king, the amazing ways God honors us when we honor him, each message has been so rich, and the encouragement so needed.
Also your A.S.K. article, Edition 116, brought me to tears and it felt like Jesus was gently nudging me and continuing his encouragement to my tired heart to not give up asking. Though I don’t understand how he works it all into his plan for my life, I want to just simply keep giving him what’s on my heart and ask. Asking simply as a child would, trusting that his dad loves him and delights in giving his children good things.” C- from out west
Men, I am eager and willing to help any of you who would ever want to reach out for specific help. Simply reply to the email address that this article was sent from! I pray for every single man I mentor each and every morning. I cry out to God for you, and for the blessing of God to fall upon you, that God would give you the progress and growth you are striving for. All things are possible with God! Nothing is too hard or too difficult for Almighty God!
