IS IT WORTH FIGHTING FOR?
Over the last 8 years I’ve been reflecting on this harsh reality—There is nothing truly permanent in this world. What took years of painstaking effort, sacrifice, and wisdom to build can be destroyed in hours, days, moments, or months.
I’ve actually been quite shocked how things I was certain were rock solid, well built, and would stand the test of time have been so quickly destroyed. I have seen things that took years of diligent, painstaking effort to build and maintain quickly fall apart by the destructive words, decisions, and actions of sinful people. When the righteous stood by and did not fight back with a righteous zeal to preserve the good that had been built, soon everything they’d sacrificed years to build was lost.
I see this happening in our nation. What took years to build is deliberately being torn apart, dismantled, and destroyed in a very short time. If we’re not extremely careful, we will lose everything we hold so dear. Many Christians ask themselves, “Should I care about the state of the nation? Should I, my church, and pastors care about politics and the direction of our nation? Doesn’t that take us away from our main purpose?” Christians, If we lose our freedoms then everything begins to fall apart. Don’t believe me? Ask yourself—Was the communist Soviet Union on the forefront of world missions, and the proliferation of good works and compassion around the world? Absolutely not!! The Soviet people had no freedom whatsoever to do so!!! They were enslaved by communism. They struggled every day just to survive. If you think otherwise, you’re ignorant of history and the facts.
Think for a moment what happened during Covid. How quickly our freedoms were curtailed, and in many cases completely taken away. Churches couldn’t meet publicly on the whim of evil, sinister government officials. Businesses that took people years of their life—their blood, sweat, and sacrifice to build were told that they had to shut their doors, they were not allowed to operate, and they literally lost everything in just a matter of months. They were left heartbroken, desperate, and bankrupt.
Do you realize America has been the greatest nation in advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the history of the world? That America has been the greatest exporter of Christian good works and compassion in the world? Do you understand that as a result of our freedoms in this nation, of our capitalist economy, of our government being founded on biblical principles, and of the rule of law—the Church itself, and we Christians, have had the freedom to do immense good in the entire world, in our own nation, and in our own families? We’ve had the chance to thrive. But right now, beating on the door, the treacherous, treasonous, wicked wolves of the democrats, leftists, and communist progressives, are already dismantling wherever they can, scheming whatever they can devise, to literally destroy this nation and turn it into an empire of sinister evil, diametrically opposed in every possible way to God, biblical truth, biblical morality, personal rights, and true justice. For this very reason I pray and ask God every day to destroy them.
Think for a moment what they’ve already done—They made it legal to kill tens of millions of unborn babies. Right now, many states and cities are empowering the destructive Islamic religion, forcing transgenderism down our throats, and in many places making it legal for children to mutilate their bodies, embracing the delusional lie that they can change their sex. They have already completely taken over the public school system, indoctrinating our children, yet steal your money to bankroll their corrupt system against your will and good judgement.
People say to me, “Well, Pastor Mark, people can always leave their state and move to a place like Florida.” Do you really think it’s that easy? I live in what has become one of the most politically vile, leftist places in the US: the Twin Cities of Minnesota. The home of the George Floyd riots, Somali Muslim fraud, severe draconian Covid rules, and the Mayor of Minneapolis who decided, with others, it was smart to massively reduce the police force. Now crime is out of control. Think of all the people my age who worked for years to pay off their home, build a life, family, and relationships here. Do you think they can just easily sell their home and pick up and move? I can tell you this—I can’t. Just the thought of getting my home ready to sell in this terrible market, packing up all our stuff, loading a truck, and starting all over somewhere else is absolutely overwhelming. It makes me sick to even think about it. In addition, my wife’s health could not possibly handle it. I am positive millions of others feel the exact same way.
You see, sinister, evil people/officials are able to make the lives of others around them miserable because righteous people take what they have for granted. They sit on the sidelines with a delusional mentality that politics (who rules us and what rules they use to rule us) doesn’t matter to God or to Christians!
We have to fight back. We have to stand up at the ballot box and vote for upright people and righteous policies. We need pastors to speak up courageously in the pulpit with flaming, righteous zeal to teach their people what is right and good in all matters of life. Those not doing so are derelict in their God-given responsibility. We need pastors to rally their people to stand up against the forces of evil in this nation, and get out and vote to preserve the freedoms and biblical foundations of our government, or it will be lost. And then, Christian, you do not want to live in the reality that will come. If you thought Covid was bad, that was just a taste of what these people will do to you and me, and our children and grandchildren!
Make absolutely sure you get out and vote in the November elections, as it is imperative to our future that each of us does. Do not fool yourselves—certain ideologies, and those who embrace them, ARE a clear and present danger to our nation!
I urge you to do what I did. I’m holding my ballot right now in my hand. I ordered it early, will fill it out at the right time, and personally go hand it to the election officials. No waiting in long lines, no crazy crowds, easy, fast, and efficient.
Can unjust leaders claim that God is on their side—leaders who permit injustice by THEIR LAWS? They attack the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. –Psalm 94:20-21
