When I faced cruel and relentless opposition to my engagement and marriage to Kathy—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced ridicule and persecution from family for following Jesus Christ—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced abusive mistreatment and opposition at my job from bosses and coworkers—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced overwhelmingly bleak, crushing circumstances and hardships—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced the unrelenting, malicious criticism from troublemakers, naysayers, and fools over the decades of ministry work—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced dark, evil injustices from medical professionals and government authorities—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced the despicable liars, malicious false accusers, and wicked people who tried all they could to destroy my life—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced treacherous betrayal by fellow Christian leaders—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced the abandonment and loss of almost all my lifelong friends and colleagues—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced the cowardly, deafening silence of those who could have, and should have, defended me—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced the catastrophic loss of my livelihood and reputation—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced the daunting task of starting over at 62, from the ashes of my life—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
When I faced crushing despair, anguish, and trauma from all that transpired—GOD IS FOR ME, kept me going.
These four powerful words—GOD IS FOR ME have been, without a doubt, the most comforting, sustaining truth in my life. You see, when God is for you, ultimately, nothing can permanently stand in your way. Nothing can permanently halt your progress or ultimate success. No man, no plan, no organization, no power on earth, can permanently thwart your ultimate success, nor stop the mighty working and blessing of God on your life.
Yes, there may be opposition. There may be evil, relentless, treacherous adversaries. There may be daunting, crushing circumstances. There may be years of setbacks, injustices, and obstacles that seem to block your path. But, always and forever, they will ultimately fail. They can not forever stand in your way. Why? Because—GOD IS FOR YOU! And that reality will eventually emerge, take over completely, and reveal itself in your ultimate victory and success.
If God is for you, it does not matter who is against you. They cannot ultimately win, for they can never beat Almighty God!
May God lift your spirits and give you the faith to believe and experience this powerful, unalterable, life-sustaining truth in your life—GOD IS FOR YOU! It is this confident belief that will empower you to Fight On to your Victory.
