Many years ago I was making several trips a year to Germany. It was an exhausting plane flight for me. I hate being cramped, cooped up, and unable to move about freely. I would fly from St. Paul, Mn airport to Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. It is the busiest airport in the world. Crawling with people and very noisy, I was always so tired and had a long layover each trip. On one particular trip, a friend who worked for the airline I was flying on gave me something I have never had before. He gave me a “privilege card” that would get me into the Sky Club that only a select group of people get to use. Having never been in one, I had no idea what it was. I was just one of the ordinary flying peons, packed like sardines on the plane, scurrying about the crazy airport. I arrived at Schiphol and asked for the Sky Club. I walked up and presented my card. Wow, talk about “Privilege.” I am ushered into this very plush, quiet, peaceful room, with lots of free food to eat and beverages to drink, and hardly anyone else is there. The most comfortable places to sit, and chairs to rest in. It was a whole different world. Only the “privileged” ever got to enjoy it. All those years of flying I had been oblivious to its existence. I enjoyed every minute of it, and repeatedly asked my friend for more “privilege cards” each time I would fly to Germany. Eventually, he ran out of cards, and my privilege ended.
Never, ever let anyone rob you of your Christian “Privilege.” Bask in it. Never apologize for it. Never feel guilty about it! Use it every day! Enjoy and rejoice in every minute of it, for your divine privilege will never end. It is permanently gifted to you by God himself. He meant for you to enjoy and appreciate every single moment of it. The more you use your privilege the greater your spiritual growth will be. And never forget this: This Privilege is offered free to all people, of any and every ethnic background through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is only through our personal faith in Jesus Christ that we are given this extraordinary “Privilege.” Once given by God to you, IT IS NEVER TAKEN AWAY!
As the Apostle Paul writes, “Let no one deprive you of your prize!”
