YOUR GOSPEL BIRTHRIGHT
Have you ever been really sick, feverish, achy and weak all over, then tried to go to work? It’s an awful feeling isn’t it? When we don’t feel well, we don’t perform well. How we feel has a tremendous impact on our daily lives. It impacts our ability to perform our tasks and responsibilities.
Over the course of my 40 years of Pastoring, I’ve found that most Christians do not feel very good about themselves. They often struggle with feelings of inadequacy and shame. They feel weak, insecure and struggle with self-confidence. Consequently, these feelings have a negative impact on their performance and on their ability to live victoriously in their Christian life. As we all can attest, when you don’t feel good it’s demoralizing and difficult to work and perform well.
This is not what God intended for you as a child of God. God has something far greater for you as a Christian to experience. I call it Your Gospel Birthright. These are your rights, given to you by God when you were born into His family. Believe them. Embrace them. Feel them. Live them. Only through this profound Gospel understanding will you experience the power of God in your life.

Jesus said—“You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free!” Isn’t it about time these Gospel truths impact the way you feel about yourself? Don’t you realize that if you really believe something it will affect the way you actually feel? Let me prove it to you right now. If you suddenly inherited one billion dollars, how would you feel? You know you would be overcome with joy, confidence, freedom, peace, relief, and overflow with renewed enthusiasm and hope like you’ve never felt before. The reality of possessing one billion dollars would powerfully affect the way you feel!
In the same way, the reality of Your Gospel Birthright should powerfully impact how you feel! If you really believe it.
The greatest way you can celebrate and honor Easter this year is to fully embrace your Gospel Birthright that Jesus Christ sacrificed so much to give you!
