THE WILL OF GOD AS A WAY OF LIFE
1 Peter 4:2 NIV

There is only one way for the authentic Christian to live. That is summed up in this phrase: The Will of God as a Way of Life!
This concept, this profound maxim, simply focuses everything in our lives. It is the guiding principle, the true north for every true believer.
Have you ever considered this phrase before? Has this concept guided every decision you’ve made? This maxim has been my guiding light, my earnest, eager pursuit in every aspect of my life over the last 47 years. This is what it means to be a passionate disciple of Jesus Christ. Think of it this way: Walk through these questions and tell me, what clarity do they bring to your mind? Do you know the answers? If not, why? If not, find them. Do not delay, search the Scriptures on every one and find the answer for you as a husband, as a father, as a wife, as a mother, and as a Christian. Are you striving, eagerly trying to find out the will of the Lord in every aspect of your life?
What is the will of God for me as a husband? Then live it.
What is the will of God for me as a father? Then live it.
What is the will of God for my work life? Then live it.
What is the will of God for my walk with God? Then live it.
What is the will of God for me as a wife? Then live it.
What is the will of God for me as a mother? Then live it.
What is the will of God for my sex life with my spouse? Then live it.
What is the will of God for how I treat my spouse? Then live it.
What is the will of God for my money? Then live it.
What is the will of God for my parenting? Then live it.
What is the will of God for my involvement in this world? Then live it.
What is the will of God for my speech? Then live it.
What is the will of God for my attitude? Then live it.
What is the will of God for the stewardship of my body? Then live it.
What is the will of God for the stewardship of my money and possessions? Then live it.
What is the will of God for my priorities? Then live it.
What is the will of God for my prayer life? Then live it.
What is the will of God for me in this world? Then live it.
What is the will of God for me and His calling on my life? Then live it.
What is the will of God for me in my faith? Then live it.
What is the will of God for me in the unique circumstances, trials, and tribulations of my life? Then live it.
Did you know God reveals His will in all these areas in the Bible? There really are some very direct and distinct directives, principles, insights and commands from God on these very significant issues of our lives. Why? Because God wants His will to be our way of life! God does not want us to spend the rest of our lives chasing after our own foolish desires, the desires and cravings of this world. God has a wonderful, new, meaningful way for us to live. It is The Will of God as Our Way of Life! Make haste, do not delay, find it!
